Title: Jolly Cardinal sin
embodies passivity, an object unable to move, speak, or resist the viewer’s gaze. Positioned on a dining table, the sculpture reinforces its role as something to be consumed, echoing outdated perceptions of women as both decorative and disposable. When lit, the candles symbolise both desire and destruction, with wax dripping down the body to suggest bleeding; visceral reminder of the violence many women continue to endure.
